Qatar Beat Saudi Arabia in West Asian Men's Volleyball Championship
Manama, July 19 (QNA) - Qatar volleyball team secured a 25-18, 25-19, 25-14 win over Saudi Arabia in the inaugural edition of the West Asian Men's Volleyball Championship, which is being hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain with the participation of 8 teams.
The team will take on Oman tomorrow, before concluding the first round with a game against Kuwait next Monday.
Group A features host nation Bahrain, along with the UAE, Jordan, and Lebanon, while Group B includes Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Kuwait.
The tournament is part of the West Asia Volleyball Association's vision to develop the sport and foster regional competition. The initiative aims to create a regular continental tournament platform and offer national teams increased opportunities for high-level match experience and talent development. (QNA)
