A 4.6-magnitude Earthquake Hits Semnan Province, Northern Iran
Tehran, July 18 (QNA) - An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale hit Shahrud, Semnan Province, northern Iran, Friday.
The University of Tehran's Seismological Center reported in a statement that the tremor occurred at 54:84 longitude and 36:54 latitude in Shahrud, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
There have been no reports of casualties or material damage as a result of the earthquake.
The same city was hit by another 4.7-magnitude earthquake last Tuesday, but no casualties were reported. (QNA)
