Two People Killed as Storms Sweep US South
Washington, June 08 (QNA) - Two people were killed today in the US states of Mississippi and Georgia by falling trees as severe storms hit the southern states.
Local authorities reported that the storms downed trees and powerlines and brought heavy rainfall, and strong winds as they pushed through the region.
Nearly 150,000 people across southern states from Texas to South Carolina were without power Sunday morning. (QNA)
