Baghdad, June 25 (QNA) - Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani highlighted the importance of securing the ceasefire and ensuring the sustainability of regional peace and stability, calling for an end to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

This came during his meeting with the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq Mohamed Al Hassan in Iraq on Wednesday.

The meeting discussed regional developments and issues of common concern, where the Iraqi Premier also underscored the need for concerted regional and international efforts to put an end to the cycle of violence and prevent further destruction and suffering, in addition to highlighting the need for the Israeli assault on Gaza to halt and for humanitarian aid to be allowed to reached the besieged Palestinian population in Gaza.
