LoginUN Secretary-General Urges Iran, Israeli Occupation to Respect Ceasefire
New York, June 24 (QNA) - United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres urged both Iran and Israeli occupation to fully respect the ceasefire announced by US President Donald Trump.
In a post on X, Guterres said that he welcomed President Trump's announcement of a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
He called on both sides to adhere to it completely and emphasized that fighting must stop.
He also expressed hope that similar ceasefires could be reached in other conflicts across the region.
Earlier today, US President Donald Trump declared that a full ceasefire agreement had been reached between Israel and Iran.
He noted that it would come into effect within six hours and remain in place for twelve hours, after which the conflict would officially be considered over. (QNA)
