Iraq Hosts14th Edition of Arab Media Women's International Festival
Baghdad, June 10 (QNA) - Baghdad is hosting the 14th edition of the Arab Media Women's International Festival, beginning on Tuesday and continuing until June 13, with wide participation from several Arab countries.
Advisor to Prime Minister, Hussein Alawi, said in a statement that Iraq is currently thriving with media, artistic, economic, political, and security events, thanks to its success in hosting Arab and international summits, as well as economic, investment, media, and cultural conferences - particularly following the success of the Arab Summit and Baghdad's designation as the Arab Tourism Capital for 2025. He emphasized the Arab world's current and future need for greater expertise in media and modern technology.
Organizers stated that the Arab Media Women’s International Festival will serve as a major Arab forum for journalism and Arab media through the presence of prominent Arab media figures and female journalists engaging in dialogues and discussions. They also noted that the 2025 “Atwar Bahjat Journalism Award” will be presented during the event - an annual award organized by the Iraqi Women Journalists Forum to encourage Arab and Iraqi female journalists and to keep the voice of truth alive.
