Doha, May 07 (QNA) - Qatar Museums (QM) announced Wednesday that it will present the third edition of the "Off-Track Vehicle Design" prize during the Shell Eco-marathon Europe and Africa 2025, which will take place at the Silesia Ring in Kamien Slaski, Poland, from Jun. 10 to 15.

The prize, launched by the Qatar Auto Museum, is part of its expanding partnership with Shell, following the Shell Eco-marathon Asia-Pacific and Middle East 2025, which was hosted in Doha from Feb. 8 to 12.

The award aligns with the museum's mission to support future mobility solutions and showcase global talent in vehicle design.

The Off-Track Vehicle Design Prize celebrates excellence in visual innovation and sustainable vehicle design, recognizing entries that excel in five key areas: aesthetics, usability, technical feasibility, aerodynamics, and sustainable practices.

The second edition of the award was presented at the Shell Eco-marathon Americas, held at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the United States from Apr. 2 to 6.

The prize was won by Cedarville University for its Karcharias vehicle, while Saint Thomas Academy received recognition for its hydrogen-powered vehicle, which was praised for its creative use of materials, streamlined shape, and user-centered design.

The Shell Eco-marathon is a global academic program challenging student teams to design and build ultra-energy-efficient vehicles that maximize fuel efficiency over long distances.

The initiative aims to push the boundaries of creativity and technical innovation, inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers to develop future energy solutions. (QNA)
