Doha, May 05 (QNA) - CEO of Old Doha Port, Mohammed Abdullah Al Mulla, stated that the Mina Pre-Owned Boat Show at Old Doha Port, which kicked off on Monday, adhered to a set of standards and requirements for participants to ensure that the displayed vessels are suitable for sale and meet the expectations of potential buyers.

In remarks to the press on Monday, Al Mulla highlighted that the level of participation had surpassed expectations, setting a new record for the exhibition.

He added that the event provides a safe and reliable commercial platform for buyers and sellers, pointing to the involvement of specialized companies in maintenance, services, and technical inspections to increase transparency in the sales process.

Regarding the participants, Al Mulla noted that this edition had seen strong representation from several Gulf countries, with a large turnout from within Qatar. He predicted that future editions would attract even greater regional participation.

Concluding his remarks, Al Mulla emphasized Old Doha Port's commitment to organizing a comprehensive calendar of events and exhibitions throughout the year. He mentioned plans for distinctive summer events, referring to last month's inaugural Hunting Exhibition and ongoing efforts to position the port as a hub for specialized activities and exhibitions.

The first day of the Mina Pre-Owned Boat Show at Old Doha Port saw a significant turnout from sea enthusiasts, visitors, and potential buyers, marking a successful launch as the first specialized event for the resale of marine vessels in Qatar.

The exhibition offered a wide selection of jet skis, fishing boats, speedboats, and traditional dhow boats, with up to 70 marine vessels on display at the Mina Corniche of the port. This showcased the growing interest and passion of sea lovers, underscoring the desire to organize a structured resale mechanism for marine vessels and highlighting the event's successful debut.

The vibrant maritime atmosphere allowed visitors to explore various options catering to different interests and aspirations. (QNA)
