Doha, May 31 (QNA) - Ooredoo Qatar received the "Leadership in Digital Transformation and Generative AI Innovation" award during the Google Cloud Doha Summit 2025.

The award was presented by HE Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mohammed bin Ali bin Mohammed Al Mannai, to HE CEO of Ooredoo Qatar, Sheikh Ali bin Jabor Al-Thani.

In a statement issued Saturday, Ooredoo Qatar said the recognition reflects its ongoing commitment to advancing Qatar's digital agenda and contributing to a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation in cloud solutions and artificial intelligence.

HE Sheikh Ali bin Jabor Al-Thani said that Ooredoo Qatar does not view Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Digital Agenda 2030 as mere frameworks, but as powerful drivers of digital transformation, with a particular focus on AI and cloud computing.

He expressed pride to contribute through pioneering initiatives such as the deployment of 5G-Advanced technology, network slicing, AI-driven operations, and the modernization of the fixed fiber infrastructure.

He said that Ooredoo Qatar continues these efforts to make a tangible impact across key sectors - from healthcare to education and all vital areas of life - enabling accelerated innovation and improved services, noting that the company's ongoing investment in AI innovation spans the entire ecosystem, from enhancing smart networks and personalized customer service to scalable enterprise solutions tailored to the evolving needs of a digital-first society.

CEO of Ooredoo Qatar reaffirmed the company's commitment to working closely with the government, partners and the broader digital ecosystem to accelerate Qatar's journey toward global digital leadership. (QNA)
