Doha, May 25 (QNA) - The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), an initiative of Qatar Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, held Edtech Testbed Workshop to co-design a practical framework for piloting AI tools in Qatari schools, enhancing the quality of education while respecting privacy.

The three-day workshop was attended by more than 40 representatives from public and private schools in the country, as well as teachers from Qatar Foundation schools that implement the International Baccalaureate system, alongside representatives from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and experts in educational technology and educational assessment.

The workshop's sessions focused on using a human-centered design methodology to identify priorities in the educational field and education stakeholders and to develop precise criteria for selecting artificial intelligence tools.

Program Director at WISE Aurelio Amaral said the workshop laid a solid foundation for designing an effective and appropriate testing platform, and the collaborative discussions demonstrated a clear commitment from all parties to driving innovation in education, serving a personalized and comprehensive learning experience.

Director of the e-Learning Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Kholoud Al Mannai said the workshop represents a pivotal step in adopting artificial intelligence tools that support the national priorities in education.

She emphasized the Ministry's commitment to ensuring that these tools are comprehensive, aligned with curricula, and suitable for all student groups, while empowering teachers through continuous training. (QNA)
