Draw for FIFA Arab Cup, FIFA U-17 World Cup 2025 to be Held on Sunday
Doha, May 20 (QNA) - The Local Organizing Committee for the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 and the U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 announced that the draw for the two tournaments will be held on Sunday.
The ceremony represents a major milestone in the journey to host the two tournaments and will be attended by a number of football stars from Qatar, the region, and the world.
Sixteen Arab teams will participate in the Arab Cup, which will take place from December 1-18. Nine teams qualified automatically based on their FIFA rankings, including host Qatar and defending champion Algeria. The remaining seven teams will qualify through qualifiers to be held in November.
The Under-17 World Cup is scheduled to feature 48 teams, a first in the history of FIFA and World Cup tournaments. Participants will play 104 matches over 25 days, with Qatar set to host five consecutive editions of the tournament until 2029. (QNA)
