Washington, May 13 (QNA) - Apple is set to announce new AI-powered features for extending iPhone battery life in its upcoming iOS 19 operating system during its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which kicks off in June 2025.

According to informed sources, the upcoming system will offer advanced battery management features using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. It will analyze phone usage patterns and adjust app power consumption to help extend battery life. Additionally, iOS 19 will display a new indicator on the lock screen showing how much time remains before the device is fully charged.

This step comes as part of enhancing the 'Apple Intelligence' AI features that the company has been gradually rolling out since 2024.

It is expected to play a pivotal role in supporting upcoming iPhones, especially the expected unveiling of the iPhone Air, featuring a slim design and a relatively small battery capacity, which makes performance improvements and power management crucial. Moreover, Apple is working to simplify the experience of connecting to public Wi-Fi networks.

iOS 19 will also add a new feature that allows you to sync login data for captive Wi-Fi networks (such as those used in hotels, airports, and cafes) across your various devices, such as your iPhone, iPad, and Mac to make it easier to connect to these networks without having to repeatedly enter data on each device.

Apple is expected to officially unveil these and other improvements at its WWDC, which will be held from from June 9 to 13, 2025. (QNA)
