Algiers, April 08 (QNA) - Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi affirmed the convergence of views between his country and Algeria on regional and international issues of common interest.

In press statements following his meeting with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune Tuesday in Algiers, Araghchi said that Algeria and Iran have very similar views on regional and international issues, and they hold consultations at the regional and international levels.

He explained that during the meeting with the Algerian president, they discussed regional developments, particularly the situation in Palestine and the crimes committed by the Israeli entity against the Palestinians and the people of the Gaza Strip. They also discussed all bilateral issues, including economic cooperation, political consultations, and cooperation in international arenas.

Earlier today, Araghchi and his Algerian counterpart Ahmed Attaf discussed developments in the Middle East and the serious escalation of the Palestinian issue amid the ongoing brutal aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. (QNA)
