Israeli Occupation Forces Forcibly Displace Thousands of Palestinians from Several Areas in Gaza Strip.
Gaza, April 11 (QNA) - The Israeli occupation forces have continued their policy of forced evacuation of several areas in the Gaza Strip, under the threat of shelling, continued raids on homes, and targeting civilians in areas threatened with evacuation.
The occupation forces announced Friday a new map for the evacuation of civilian residents, which includes the eastern areas of Khan Yunis, namely the towns of Khuza'a, Abasan al-Kabira, and Abasan al-Jadida.
The occupation forces claimed that they would launch a strong offensive, and that these areas are considered dangerous, calling on residents to head to what they called "safe shelters" west of Khan Yunis.
The Israeli shelling and airstrikes on tents and homes in the Al-Mawasi area west of the city continue 24/7, occasionally killing and wounding dozens of civilians, most of whom are women and children.
The occupation army also issued other evacuation and forced displacement orders in areas east of Gaza City, including the neighborhoods of Zeitoun, Shuja'iyya, Tuffah, and Sha'af.
Qatar News Agency (QNA) correspondent reported that thousands of Palestinian families are being displaced from eastern Gaza City to its center and west, due to the lack of shelters or displacement camps capable of accommodating the large numbers of citizens, and the absence of transportation due to fuel shortages and the cessation of most transportation and communication facilities.
He noted that the displaced people in Gaza City are experiencing a tragic situation, with services cut off. Most of the displaced are crowded into open areas, on the streets, and among the rubble, and there is a lack of basic services such as shelter tents, drinking water, or sanitary facilities.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced today that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 50,912 martyrs and 115,981 wounded since October 7, 2023.
The Israeli occupation resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip on March 18, following a two-month pause under a ceasefire agreement that went into effect on January 19. However, the occupation violated the terms of the ceasefire throughout the two months, continuing its bombing of various areas in the Gaza Strip, causing deaths and injuries.
It also refused to implement the humanitarian protocol, and tightened its stifling blockade on the Strip, which is experiencing an unprecedented humanitarian tragedy. (QNA)
