AFC Launches 12th Knowledge Sharing Programme
Kuala Lumpur, April 10 (QNA) - The 12th edition of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC)’s acclaimed Knowledge Sharing Programme (KSP) commenced on Thursday.
Introduced in January 2024, the initiative is aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the AFC’s Member Associations (MAs) and Regional Associations (RAs) in their overall football administration development, the AFC said in a statement published on its website.
The latest installment of the programme will feature two candidates representing the Chinese Taipei Football Association (CTFA) and the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) who will be assigned to the Confederation’s Competition and Football Events Division (CFED).
During the three-week programme, the participants will have the opportunity to train under the guidance of industry experts, receiving hands-on training and gaining insights into the best practices of football governance and administration.
Upon completing their tenure under the programme, the candidates are expected to share their learnings with their respective organisations, recommend the implementation of policies, and improve their existing administrative systems, thereby ensuring the continuous development of Asian football and further underlining the AFC’s ambitions of maintaining its position as a model Confederation.
Built on the legacy of the landmark AFC Internship programme, the KSP, now in its twelfth iteration, is yet another indication of the AFC’s commitment towards providing tailored support to maximise the potential of its MAs and RAs.
The AFC Knowledge Sharing Programme is open to all employees of the AFC’s MAs and RAs. Moreover, the AFC Academic Centre of Excellence (ACE) Valedictorians will also have the opportunity to be part of the programme. (QNA)
