2025 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup: Saudi Arabia Beat Thailand to Advance to Semi-finals
Bangkok, March 26 (QNA) - The Saudi beach soccer team qualified for the semi-finals of the 2025 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup after defeating hosts Thailand 4-3 in Wednesday's quarter-final match at Jomtien Marina Beach in Pattaya, Thailand.
Majed Shamhani (two goals), Omar Qaramish, and Ahmed Al-Hamami scored for Saudi Arabia.
With this victory, the Saudi team are on the verge of qualifying for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup finals, which will be hosted by Seychelles next May.
The Saudi team qualified for the quarter-finals after defeating Iraq 3-2 on Monday, concluding the group stage of the tournament.
The Saudi team will face the winner of Iran and Bahrain match in the semi-finals.
The tournament's top three teams will qualify for the 2025 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Seychelles. (QNA)
