First-Ever Ramadan Kabaddi Festival 2025 Continues Activities
Doha, March 14 (QNA) - The first Ramadan Kabaddi Festival of 2025, hosted at Al Rayyan Park, continues on Saturday and will run until Sunday evening.
This inaugural festival marks a turning point for kabaddi in Qatar and the region, highlighting the country's role in promoting traditional sports and organizing events that cater to local and international communities.
HE President of Kabaddi Asia Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mubarak Al-Thani expressed his delight at hosting the first Ramadan Kabaddi Festival, calling it a unique addition to Qatar's commitment to sports diversity.
He noted the growth of kabaddi in the region, emphasizing the Asian Kabaddi Federation's dedication to organizing more annual events that enrich both global and community sports agendas.

He added that the festival serves as a perfect platform for players to display their talents and elevate the sport's standards globally, especially with live broadcasts ensuring the event reaches kabaddi fans worldwide.
President of the International Kabaddi Federation Dr. Osama Saeed praised Qatar's exceptional organization of the festival, commending the large turnout and audience engagement.
He also highlighted plans to establish several protocols with the Asian Kabaddi Federation to organize future events promoting kabaddi in Doha and Asia. This festival coincides with the first-ever Kabaddi World Cup being held in England. (QNA)
