Qatar Charity: Distribution of Ramadan Food Baskets to Displaced People, Orphans, and Needy Families in Sudan
Khartoum, March 12 (QNA) - Field teams from Qatar Charity in Sudan have begun distributing Ramadan food baskets to orphans, needy families, and displaced people due to the ongoing conflict, as part of their "Giving Lives On" campaign for the year 1446H (2025), which is being implemented in 40 countries worldwide.
Qatar Charity has already distributed food baskets in Port Sudan, located in the Red Sea State, containing essential food items to support fasting individuals during the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative has been widely appreciated by Sudanese communities. Qatar Charity's iftar project continues to assist approximately 4.5 million people in need across Africa, Asia, and Europe this year.
In a statement, Qatar Charity said that it will continue distributing Ramadan food baskets in the coming days, aiming to bring joy and relief to the targeted communities. A total of 2,380 baskets are expected to be distributed to 14,280 beneficiaries across the Red Sea, Kassala, and Nile River States.
The Iftar project is designed to support orphaned families sponsored by Qatar Charity, as well as non-sponsored orphans, displaced people due to the war, and other vulnerable families, by providing them with essential food supplies during Ramadan. These food baskets are tailored to meet the specific dietary needs of fasting individuals during the blessed month. (QNA)
