Doha, February 23 (QNA) - The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Scale AI, a global leader in artificial intelligence (AI), on the sidelines of Web Summit Qatar 2025.

The agreement was signed by HE Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, and Founder and CEO of Scale AI, Alex Wang.

This partnership is part of MCIT's efforts to enhance operational efficiency in government entities by equipping them with advanced AI-powered tools and solutions that simplify key government processes and improve the quality and efficiency of services.

The five-year agreement aims to drive AI adoption in the government sector, enhance the efficiency of E-services, and develop the skills of the national workforce to lead Qatar's digital future. It also includes the development of innovative AI-driven projects, supporting Qatar's digital transformation strategies, promoting sustainable economic growth, and reinforcing the country's global leadership in responsible AI adoption. Additionally, the agreement will foster AI-driven digital innovation across various government entities.

HE Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, stated: "This partnership represents a significant milestone in Qatar's digital transformation journey, as it enables us to harness AI's potential in an innovative way to enhance operational efficiency across government entities. Through this partnership, we aim to generate significant economic value by developing AI-powered solutions tailored to the needs of the government sector, while also equipping national talent with future-ready skills. Furthermore, we are committed to integrating AI technologies across government institutions in a way that strengthens Qatar's global leadership in responsible AI adoption. We are dedicated to implementing these initiatives in alignment with the objectives of the Digital Agenda 2030." Founder and CEO of Scale AI, Alex Wang, stated: "We are proud to collaborate with the Ministry on pushing Qatar's digital transformation through AI. This long-term partnership will further modernize government operations, enhance public services, and grow and upskill Qatar's AI-ready workforce." This partnership between MCIT and Scale AI will empower government entities to leverage AI capabilities such as predictive analytics, automation, and advanced data analysis to improve operational efficiency and support economic development. These technologies will be utilized to streamline government procedures and enhance service quality. The initial phase of the partnership will focus on enhancing operational efficiency through AI-powered process optimization and service improvement.

Furthermore, this partnership will contribute to sustainable growth by generating significant economic value through customized AI solutions designed to meet government needs. It will also prioritize the implementation of secure and efficient AI-powered solutions that address current needs while anticipating future challenges.

As part of the agreement, specialized AI training programs will be introduced to upskill government employees, students, and young professionals, ensuring they are well-prepared to navigate the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Additionally, more than 50 AI-driven use cases will be developed by 2029, with four initial AI applications and projects already in progress in collaboration with various government entities. These projects aim to simplify government operations and enhance public service quality. (QNA)
