Doha, December 08 (QNA) - Head coach of the Egyptian squad, Helmy Toulan, acknowledged the tough task facing his team ahead of Tuesday's clash with Jordan in the final group-stage match of Group C at the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Toulan said the game will not be easy against Jordan, who have delivered two strong performances so far in the tournament and have secured their spot in the quarterfinals.

He stressed that his players need to be fully focused, both technically and mentally, to secure a win and advance to the next round.

Even though the opponent is strong, with a good mix of players in defense, midfield, and attack, our team has full confidence in the squad to get the victory and ensure qualification for the quarterfinals, Toulan added.

He also pointed out that the team's comeback against the UAE in the previous match demonstrated the players' fighting spirit, determination, and mental toughness.

For his part, Egyptian national team forward Mohamed Sherif said luck did not favor the team in the first two games, but he considered the draw with the UAE in the last match a solid result.

The team will treat this match like a final because it's decisive. Winning is Egypt's target, and the squad will settle matters on the pitch without worrying about other scenarios, Sherif said, expressing full confidence in the team's ability to overcome Jordan and advance to the next stage. (QNA)
