Doha, December 17 (QNA) - In a world rife with crises and conflicts and facing several challenges, the name of the State of Qatar stands out as a shining beacon of dialogue, mediation, and the promotion of peace, security, and stability around the world, thanks to the wise guidance and sound vision of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

Under the wise leadership of HH the Amir, Qatar has demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the just causes of peoples and its provision of necessary support to Arab and other countries around the world. Its continuous efforts in supporting humanitarian causes have been a prominent feature at both the regional and international levels, making it a model to be emulated in supporting just causes.

Mediation and working to resolve conflicts peacefully have become one of the constants of Qatar's foreign policy, which has made it occupy a distinguished position regionally and internationally as a peace-making country, after its efforts and endeavors have achieved great accomplishments in this regard, which have been praised by world countries, along with international and UN organizations and bodies.

Under the leadership of HH the Amir, the State of Qatar has always raised the banners of peace, security, development, prosperity, and the call to preserve human dignity on all regional and international platforms. It has overcome many obstacles and extinguished various conflicts raging around the world, believing that peace and stability are the choice and dream of all peoples, that lasting peace is not built on force but on justice and dialogue, and that true security is only achieved when a person feels dignity, safety, justice, and fairness.

The speeches of HH the Amir on numerous occasions and meetings at the United Nations and in other Arab, regional and international forums were not merely passing words, but included sincere and strong humanitarian messages that the State of Qatar has been and will remain a source of relief for the needy, a supporter of the oppressed, an advocate for truth and justice, and an adherent to values and moral virtues, presenting to the world a bright model of a state of security and safety that creates peace and hope and builds bridges of dialogue, solidarity and cooperation, to achieve prosperity and dignity for all people on its land and for all peoples around the world.

The State of Qatar continued its efforts with its international and regional partners to bring the conflicting parties together at the negotiating table to establish the security and peace sought by the peoples who have suffered from wars and crises and paid a heavy price for conflicts.

In this context, HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani is always keen to participate in the annual meetings of the United Nations General Assembly, affirming the State of Qatar's commitment to harnessing all its efforts and capabilities to support efforts to establish security, peace, stability, development and prosperity throughout the world.

HH the Amir's speeches at the United Nations General Assembly have always provided insightful strategic visions, effective humanitarian initiatives, and successful solutions to many of the problems and crises facing the region and the world. They have focused on promoting dialogue and diplomacy to end wars and crises around the world, as His Highness has repeatedly stressed in this regard that the path to resolving conflicts through peaceful means is a long and arduous one, but it is less costly than wars.

HH the Amir stressed on many occasions that the State of Qatar's foreign policy is based on fundamental constants and stable principles that achieve its national goals and interests, are consistent with its values, reflect its Islamic, Arab and Gulf affiliation, and fulfill its international obligations and its active partnership with the international community in facing global challenges in a way that brings good to all of humanity.

Qatar's foreign policy is also based on political realism and a realistic assessment of what it can do. It follows a dialogue and preventive diplomacy approach, supports consensual political solutions and the settlement of disputes by peaceful means, and undertakes mediation when possible, which requires the necessary flexibility to perform this role.

The efforts made by the State of Qatar regionally and internationally, under the wise leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani have contributed to strengthening its global position and linking its name to many successes in defusing many crises and containing conflicts around the world.

For more than two years, the State of Qatar has made strenuous efforts, in cooperation with its regional and international partners, to stop the war in the Gaza Strip and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people, harnessing all its political and humanitarian capabilities to achieve sustainable solutions that guarantee security and stability for the Palestinian people and the entire region.

Believing that instability knows no borders and that humanity's destiny is interconnected, the State of Qatar continued its diplomatic efforts to contribute to resolving other crises such as the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and other conflicts in Africa and other parts of the world.

The efforts of the State of Qatar with its partners in Africa have resulted in qualitative steps toward establishing peace, especially the signing of the Doha Framework Agreement for Peace between the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Congo River Alliance "March 23 Movement," which confirms that Qatar will remain an active partner in the international community to resolve conflicts by peaceful means and seize opportunities to establish global peace.

The Doha Framework Agreement represents a significant new achievement in the peace process facilitated by the State of Qatar, based on the momentum of the "Doha Declaration of Principles" signed in July. The agreement affirms the commitment of both parties to address the root causes of the conflict through structured dialogue, confidence-building measures, and a gradual approach to de-escalation and stability. It also emphasizes the importance of protecting civilians, respecting human rights, ensuring the safe and dignified return of displaced persons, and supporting national reconciliation and unity.

Qatari diplomatic efforts also succeeded in sponsoring negotiations on establishing peace in the Sudanese Darfur region and the signing of the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur, hosting the Lebanese National Dialogue, as well as hosting talks between the United States and the Afghan Taliban movement, which concluded with the signing of the peace agreement by both parties, in addition to sponsoring negotiations between the Chadian parties, which culminated in the signing of the Doha Agreement for Peace in Chad, as well as multiple mediations between Somalia, Kenya and many countries of the world.

Qatar's mediation efforts are not limited to resolving disputes and conflicts between countries, but extend to addressing humanitarian needs in disaster-stricken and troubled areas, based on its firm belief in the importance of collective action in confronting common global challenges, promoting social development, supporting international efforts aimed at eliminating poverty, increasing job opportunities, and promoting everything that guarantees human dignity, leading to a more prosperous and just future for all.

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has repeatedly affirmed on numerous occasions that the State of Qatar will remain an active partner in the international community and a supporter of social development efforts through the assistance and contributions it provides to many countries and communities, as well as its ongoing efforts to support young people in the Middle East, give them hope, provide them with job opportunities, and make efforts to bring peace to the region.

Qatar's bright record remains full of many achievements in resolving various regional and international crises and bringing positive resolution to several disputes in the Arab region and the world, despite the challenges, difficulties and complexities. (QNA)
