Doha, December 17 (QNA) - HE President of the State Audit Bureau Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Emadi affirmed that National Day is an occasion to deepen the meanings of unity, loyalty, and belonging among the people of the nation, and to recall the values ​​upon which the State of Qatar was founded: giving, work, and progress.

In a statement to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), the President of the State Audit Bureau said that National Day is a legacy passed down from one generation to another. It is a day to honor the efforts made by the founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, in establishing the foundations of the State. It also provides an opportunity to review the national achievements accomplished and to draw inspiration to continue the journey of development under the leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

He explained that this year's National Day slogan, "With You It Rises, From You It Awaits," places a great responsibility on citizens to work towards the advancement of their country and contribute to its progress in solidarity with the wise leadership. It also defines the effective partnership between the people and the nation in all fields, as this slogan embodies the nation's vision that building human capital is the greatest investment for consolidating its progress and ensuring the sustainability of its contributions.

His Excellency said that National Day is an annual occasion on which pride in the nation’s rich history is renewed. Commemorating this occasion is not merely a celebration, but rather an embodiment of the people’s connection to their leadership and their homeland, and a reinforcement of the national identity that is deeply cherished.

He emphasized that the celebrations of this day, along with the accompanying cultural and national events, help deepen the connection of generations to the history and identity of the State of Qatar, and instill, particularly among the youth, a spirit of positive citizenship and responsibility toward the nation. National Day also reflects the unity of the people around their wise leadership and renews the mutual trust between leadership and society in continuing the path of development and progress. Accordingly, it is not merely an annual occasion, but an educational pillar and a societal value that contributes to strengthening national identity and reinforcing loyalty and love of country in the hearts of all.

His Excellency affirmed that the annual observance of this day carries a profound meaning that transcends being a national occasion; it is a broad expression of the Qatari people's appreciation for the nation's journey since its founding. National Day, he added, is not a referendum in the political sense, but rather a unifying national occasion that clearly reflects a state of collective awareness and pride in the achievements of the founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, and the progress and development continued by the leaders who followed him. 

HE Al Emadi affirmed that celebrating National Day embodies a profound meaning that goes beyond being merely a national occasion, as it represents a broad expression of the Qatari people's appreciation for the state's journey since its founding.

National Day is not a referendum in the political sense; rather, it is a unifying national occasion that clearly reflects collective awareness and pride in the achievements of the founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, and in the accomplishments carried forward by the leaders who succeeded him, His Excellency said.

HE the President of the State Audit Bureau continued, saying that National Day embodies popular consensus around the principles and values upon which the state was established, an occasion during which members of society draw inspiration from the spirit of sacrifice and contribution, recall the basis on which the founder established this nation, and renew their pledge to continue the march under the leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

He added that celebrating National Day is a civilized and heartfelt expression of respect for the past, confidence in the present, and aspiration toward a more prosperous future.

His Excellency noted that the State Audit Bureau has made several pivotal accomplishments with regard to its institutional strategy, as it has further developed the government service evaluation system by conducting comprehensive reviews of programs and initiatives linked to the Third National Development Strategy and the efficiency of government operational performance, which helped raise the quality of services and accelerate response time.

The Bureau also conducted a comprehensive evaluation of government operational plans and the extent of their implementation in practice, thereby strengthening a culture of accountability and ensuring the optimal use of public resources, he added.

HE Al Emadi explained that the State Audit Bureau has placed particular importance on striking a balance between profitability and service quality in entities of an economic nature, in a manner that ensures alignment between financial outcomes and national objectives related to sustainability and development.

These achievements have contributed to enhancing service quality, developing institutional performance, and creating added value for citizens, in line with the state's vision for sustainable development and improved government efficiency, he said.

His Excellency further pointed out that, in its pursuit of keeping pace with digital transformation and enhancing the quality of oversight work, the State Audit Bureau has, in recent years, continuously updated its tools and methodologies in accordance with international best practices in auditing. It has focused on leveraging modern technologies such as advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and electronic integration to improve efficiency and facilitate access to data. The Bureau has also adopted AI-based big data analytics programs, enabling it to process large volumes of information and link data across various government entities. This has contributed to the early detection of risks and irregularities, supported evidence-based decision-making, and allowed the results of these analyses to be employed in developing audit methodologies and improving oversight effectiveness, while taking into account ethical considerations related to the use of modern technology and ensuring data confidentiality.

HE the President of the State Audit Bureau said that the Bureau was keen on training its staff on using these valuable tools as to ensure optimal utilization of digital technologies and to enhance overall quality in oversight work. He noted that, given its pivotal role in promoting integrity and safeguarding public funds, the State Audit Bureau continuously works to develop its methodologies, anticipate future developments, and address the needs of the upcoming period. Among its most important future strategies are electronic integration and full digital transformation in audit operations through expanded use of big data analytics and artificial intelligence for early risk detection; linking government entities to electronic systems that enable the Bureau to obtain data in real time; and strengthening audits of government electronic applications. Through reviewing the quality, efficiency, and security effectiveness of digital services, the State Audit Bureau helps government entities develop more efficient and responsive services for citizens. This is in addition to supporting the quality of government services and raising the level of institutional performance by focusing on evaluating entities' performance and measuring their compliance with quality and efficiency standards, as well as monitoring adherence to national initiatives linked to the Qatar National Vision 2030.

HE Al Emadi concluded his statement to QNA by saying that, in addition to all of the above, the Bureau continuously works to build specialized national human capacities by developing and training national cadres on the latest digital audit tools, fostering a culture of innovation in the Bureau, encouraging the attainment of internationally recognized professional certification, strengthening partnerships and cooperation through the exchange of expertise with Arab and international oversight bodies, and participating in international initiatives to ensure alignment with the latest developments.
