Public Prosecution Presents Seminar on Evolution of Qatar's Modern Legal System
Doha, December 17 (QNA) - The Public Prosecution, represented by the Institute of Criminal Studies, organized a legal seminar on the landmarks of the legal renaissance in the State of Qatar to commemorate National Day.
The seminar, attended by HE Attorney General of the State of Qatar, Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi, and several members of the Public Prosecution, reviewed the historical journey of Qatari legislation and judiciary, and its stages of development from the era of the founder through the various stages of legislative evolution.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Yousef Mohammed Al Obaidan, former professor of political science at Qatar University and former member of the Shura Council, highlighted the stages that shaped the features of the modern legal system, as well as the developmental efforts undertaken by the State in this field.
The seminar was held as part of a series of scientific and educational events organized by the Institute of Criminal Studies, aimed at enhancing legal awareness among Public Prosecution members and strengthening legal knowledge across various fields, thereby contributing to improved performance and more effective work.
