Magnitude 4.9 Earthquake Strikes Fiji Islands
Suva, December 15 (QNA) - An earthquake measuring 4.9آ on the Richter scale struck on Monday Fiji Islands located south of the Pacific Ocean.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the epicenter of the quake occurred in the southern Fiji Islands, at a depth of 592.6آ kilometers.
Fiji Islands are located in an area called the Ring of Fire in the Pacific Ocean, which is exposed from time to time to many aftershocks and earthquakes that may be strong. (QNA)
