Throughout recent years, Bahrain has witnessed achievements which ushered in a new era of a prosperous future, led by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, along with economic, educational, health, and developmental resurgence, as well as a sophisticated infrastructure.
The leadership in this country gives foremost attention to the financial, banking, and technological sector, thereby supporting the nation's economy and promoting its standing as a tremendous commercial, financial, and tourism hub in the Arab Gulf region.
This day represents an opportunity to celebrate the great achievements and renew the pledge to continue these milstones and protect the gains achieved for this nation, which is still and has been a homeland for co-existence, tolerance, love, and honesty.
The Kingdom is moving ahead in accordance with meticulously learned strategic plans spanning for a long-term future through launching its economic vision 2030, which charts a comprehensive plan for the development process.
These plans aim to set a clear approach for advancing the economy with a sharp focus on the key objective, which entails the improvement of living standards for all citizens.
This national day is marked as Bahrain is moving full steam ahead to execute its economic vision 2030, which is grounded on the principles of sustainability, competitiveness, and justice, undergirded by a flexible legislative environment, a qualified national workforce, and sophisticated digital infrastructure.
This is especially the case as the Kingdom maximizes the potential of non‑oil sectors, which today account for more than 86% of GDP, reflecting the success of its economic diversification policies, foremost of which are the development of promising sectors and the strengthening of partnership between the public and private sectors.
The first National Economic Strategy, prepared under the umbrella of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), serves as a roadmap for realizing Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, encompassing the Sustainable Development Goals, which represent the current government's priorities and form the foundation for implementing its plan.
High economic growth rates, sound government financing, improvements in human capital, justice, and a competitive labor market are all key factors in achieving most of the Sustainable Development Goals.
