Gulf U-23 Cup: Qatar, Saudi Arabia Draw 1-1 in Group Stage Finale

Doha, December 11 (QNA) - Qatar and Saudi Arabia played to a 1-1 draw in their final Group A match of the Gulf U-23 Football Cup, held at Aspire Stadium in Doha.
Mustafa Al Sayed opened the scoring for Qatar in the 24th minute, while Thamer Al Khaibari equalized for Saudi Arabia in the 85th.
Both teams had already secured their spots in the semifinals after winning their first two matches. Qatar previously defeated Kuwait 3-0 and Bahrain 1-0, while Saudi Arabia beat Bahrain 5-0 and Kuwait 1-0.
With the draw, both teams finished the group stage with seven points, with Saudi Arabia topping the group on goal difference.
In the other Group A match, Kuwait edged Bahrain 2-1, earning their first three points and finishing third. Bahrain exited the tournament without any points. (QNA)
