Three Killed, 15 Wounded in Russian Missile Strike on Dnipro, Eastern Ukraine
Kyiv, December 01 (QNA) - At least three people were killed, and 15 others were wounded, six of them sustaining critical injuries, in a Russian missile strike on Dnipro city in eastern Ukraine, the Acting Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Vladyslav Haivanenko, said in a statement Monday.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that its forces shot down 63 unmanned aircraft of the 89 drones that Russia had launched during its overnight air offensive on northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.
The Russian attack was held off by air force and cyberwarfare units, as well as UAVs and mobile firepower teams of the Ukrainian air defense systems, the Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement today.
Over the recent weeks, Russia reportedly declared that its troops had made breakthroughs on the southeast front of Ukraine, capturing numerous new areas amid media reports claiming that the territories under Russian control reached 161,000 square kilometers, i.e., 27 percent of the country's area.
