Palestinian Prime Minister Reviews Latest Developments in Gaza and West Bank with Italian Parliamentary Delegation
Ramallah, November 27 (QNA) - Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa met on Thursday with an Italian parliamentary delegation to discuss the latest political and on-the-ground developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem.
During the meeting, Mustafa highlighted the ongoing efforts to solidify a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, noting that a reconstruction and recovery plan for Gaza has been developed, complete with an implementation program.
He added that the plan has been adopted by Arab and Islamic countries and is supported by the international community through the New York Declaration.
The two sides also discussed the situation in the West Bank amid the continued assaults by the occupation army and settlers, particularly in the northern governorates, with the latest being the ongoing aggression against the Tubas governorate.
They also addressed Israeli measures, including the suspension of the transfer of Palestinian tax revenues for the sixth consecutive month.
Mustafa renewed his call on the international community to work toward achieving a political solution that ensures lasting peace based on the two-state solution, the establishment of a Palestinian state, and the prevention of repeated aggression against the Palestinian people.
For their part, the Italian delegation reaffirmed their supportive stance, rejecting international double standards, and stressed their continued engagement at the global level to support the Palestinian people, their legitimate right to an independent state, end their suffering in the Gaza Strip, and stop settler attacks and occupation measures in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
