Vodafone Qatar Signs MoU with iFLYTEK and DVTT to Boost AI Adoption

Doha, November 25 (QNA) - Vodafone Qatar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with iFLYTEK and Data Voice Technology Trading (DVTT) to accelerate the adoption and integration of advanced AI solutions in Qatar.

The MoU was signed during Mobile World Congress (MWC) Doha 2025 by HE Sheikh Hamad Abdulla Jassim Al-Thani, CEO of Vodafone Qatar; Sheikh Mansoor bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Chairman of DVTT; and Richard Yu, Co-founder, and Senior Vice President at iFLYTEK.

The partnership aims to position Vodafone Qatar as a leader in AI-driven digital transformation for enterprises in the country. It will leverage the expertise of all three parties to deliver cutting-edge AI services and infrastructure under Vodafone Qatar's AI-as-a-Service (AIAAS) portfolio.

Under the agreement, Vodafone Qatar will lead market engagement and promotion of AI services, acting as the primary point of contact for customers to ensure seamless communication and user experience. DVTT will provide end-to-end solution design, deployment, and technical support, including 24/7 managed services. The company will integrate, deploy, and maintain AI technologies such as Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), Text-to-Speech (TTS), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and multilingual large language models.

iFLYTEK will contribute both global and local AI expertise, supporting the development of Vodafone Qatar’s AI product portfolio and strengthening the local AI ecosystem. The company will also assist with proof-of-concept (POC) design, implementation, and branding.

Mohamed Mohsin Alyafei, Enterprise Business Unit Director at Vodafone Qatar, said: "In line with Qatar National Vision 2030, we are committed to pioneering advanced AI solutions and driving digital transformation across enterprises. Our partnership with DVTT and iFLYTEK is a major step forward in accelerating the adoption of cutting-edge AI technologies, empowering businesses with future-ready solutions, enhancing operational efficiency, and unlocking new opportunities for innovation."

Richard Yu added: "This landmark partnership is a shared vision to redefine the digital future of the region. By delivering 'AI as a Service,' we are unlocking a new era of innovation and connectivity. iFLYTEK is deeply committed to Qatar's future, and we are confident this venture will have a transformative impact ‘In Qatar, For Qatar.’”

Meanwhile, Sheikh Mansoor bin Khalifa Al-Thani said: "This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone in Qatar's tech landscape, Data Voice Technology Trading is a leading service provider of AI solutions and by uniting forces with Vodafone Qatar and iFLYTEK, this partnership is at the forefront of delivering end-to-end AI solutions that will redefine industry standards.

"We are not just providing technology; we are building the foundation for an intelligent future, offering businesses in Qatar access to world-class AI infrastructure and support, right here at home."

Vodafone Qatar continues to invest in its core infrastructure, including fibre and advanced wireless networks, to support Qatar's digital advancement. The MoU also outlines a joint commitment to explore further business opportunities, including pilot projects, solutions, and commercial initiatives. (QNA)
