Qatar, Saudi Arabia Sign MoU for Legal, Judicial Cooperation
Riyadh, November 23 (QNA) - The State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Sunday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the legal and judicial fields between the two countries' Ministries of Justice.
The MoU was signed by HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali bin Issa Al Hassan Al Mohannadi, and HE Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Walid bin Mohammed Al-Samaani in the presence of HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bandar bin Mohammed Al Attiyah.
The MoU reflects an understanding of the importance of expanding bilateral cooperation to encompass various legal and judicial aspects, and a shared desire to enhance cooperation in accordance with the legislation in force in both countries.
It aims to enhance cooperation between the two ministries in several areas, including: notarization, the legal profession, alternative dispute resolution, developing legal and judicial expertise, exchanging experiences in legal and judicial training, utilizing technology and artificial intelligence in legal and judicial fields, and exchanging information, expertise, documents, and global best practices.
The MoU also promotes leveraging successful judicial and legal experiences across various legal sectors within the two countries' Ministries of Justice.
This will be achieved through the exchange of expert and specialist visits, the organization of joint conferences, seminars, meetings, training courses, and workshops, and other forms of legal cooperation and partnership. (QNA)
