One killed, Several Injured in Israeli Airstrike on Beirut's Southern Suburbs
Beirut, November 23 (QNA) - One person was killed and several others injured on Sunday in an Israeli occupation airstrike targeting the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health said in a statement that the preliminary toll of the strike was one dead and 21 injured.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese News Agency reported that the airstrike also caused significant material damage in the southern suburbs.
Earlier, an Israeli occupation strike targeted the town of Aita Al Shaab in the Bint Jbeil district in southern Lebanon, killing one person.
A ceasefire agreement in southern Lebanon came into effect on Nov. 27, 2024, stipulating the withdrawal of Israeli forces from villages and towns along the southern border within 60 days. Beirut later agreed to extend the deadline until February 18; however, Israeli occupation forces remain at five points and continue to violate the agreement. (QNA)
