Kuwait Defense Ministry: Armed Forces Intercept 3 Missiles, 15 Drones in Past 24 Hours
Kuwait, April 01 (QNA) - Kuwait's Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday that the armed forces detected three cruise missiles and 15 hostile drones within the country's airspace over the past 24 hours, adding that all were dealt with in accordance with established procedures.
Colonel Staff Saud Al Atwan, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, said in a statement addressing recent operational developments that the Iranian attack resulted in a fuel tank at Kuwait International Airport being targeted. He noted that specialized teams responded promptly to the incident.
Al Atwan added that debris fell on a house in a residential area, but no injuries were reported.
He further explained that a unit from the explosive ordnance disposal division of the land forces engineering corps, in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, handled a military object found at the site and safely disposed of it in line with approved protocols. (QNA)
