Kuwait, November 19 (QNA) - The Kuwait Football Association announced Wednesday that it will host the French Super Cup between Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Marseille.

In a statement on its official website, the association said the match will take place on January 8 at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City.

The fixture brings together two of the strongest clubs in France's top division.

Paris Saint-Germain won last year's edition of the Super Cup, defeating Monaco 1-0 in a match held in Doha on January 5.

PSG is the record holder in the competition, with 13 titles. Lyon ranks second with eight, while Reims and Saint-Etienne have each won five. Monaco has claimed the trophy four times. (QNA)
