Doha, November 10 (QNA) - The Police College held a graduation ceremony at Zakreet Camp for the first Police Operations Course for officers and the Commando Course for cadet officers of the eighth intake of the College.

The ceremony was attended by HE Legal Advisor to Minister of Interior and General Supervisor of the Police College, Major General Dr. Abdullah Yousef Al Mal, along with several department directors from the Ministry of Interior and officers from various military and security agencies.

A total of 56 officers from different security entities participated in the Police Operations Course, which aimed to enhance their competence in leadership, command, and operational planning. Meanwhile, the six-week Commando Course involved 168 cadet officers from the eighth intake of the Police College, focusing on developing physical and tactical capabilities and refining leadership skills through intensive field exercises.

The two programs come as part of the Police College's strategy to prepare and qualify highly skilled police cadres equipped with the operational and field expertise necessary to perform their security duties professionally, thereby strengthening the state's overall security and stability framework.

During the Commando Course, participants underwent more than 425 hours of field and theoretical training that included tower descent, physical fitness, swimming, self-defense, naval and urban combat, raids, arrest and control techniques, night patrols, long-distance marches, compass navigation, marksmanship, operational orders, and environmental survival. The course also incorporated realistic simulation scenarios designed to mirror the operational challenges faced by police officers in the field. (QNA)
