Doha, November 01 (QNA) - The process of registration and fitting the participating camels with electronic chips (tagging) for the Mafarid Challenge Festival-Mokhalafat Al-Haqqawi, the first event of the new 2025–2026 season organized by Qatar Camel Mzayen Club, kicked off Saturday.

This process continues at the festival site in Labseer, Al Shahaniya, ahead of the Mafarid Challenge Festival, which is set to take place from Nov. 5 to 10. It is a prerequisite for participation in these challenges, as camels that are not fitted with these chips won't participate in the competitions.

The key objective of this condition is to ensure the provision of outstanding services and streamline the registration process.

The festival will feature a total of 21 competitive heats, with the premier category including five heats and the other categories featuring four heats each.

Most categories consist of a local challenge for Telad, a local challenge for Shiraya, a local challenge for Qadan, and an open international challenge.

The foremost category includes an additional heat for hybrids, ensuring a comprehensive competition structure that combines local contests with a global-level challenge.

The club has allocated a total of 210 prizes for the winners of the festival heats, awarding 10 winners per heat across all 21 heats.

Prize values range from QAR 100,000 for first place to QAR 5,000 for tenth place, according to the heats of each category. Additionally, five cars will be accorded to the first-place finishers in the open international challenge heats of each category.

Sixty-three sashes will also be bestowed upon the top three finishers in every heat, reflecting the club’s commitment to promoting excellence and rewarding outstanding performance in the festival.

This festival is anticipated to showcase record participation in Qatar and the GCC states, following the monumental success of the first one in 2024. (QNA)
