Kuwait, October 23 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participated in the 27th meeting of the Committee of Their Excellencies and Highnesses the ministers responsible for environmental affairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held Thursday, in the State of Kuwait.

The State of Qatar was represented at the meeting by HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie.

During the meeting, the ministers discussed several topics on the agenda, most notably ways to enhance Gulf environmental cooperation and follow up on the implementation of joint strategies and initiatives in the field of environmental protection.

Additionally, they reviewed the efforts of the Regional Organization for the Protection of the Marine Environment through a visual presentation on the most prominent relevant regional programs and projects. (QNA)
