Jeddah, October 22 (QNA) - The Muslim World League strongly condemned Israel's preliminary approval of a law imposing what is termed "Israeli sovereignty" over the West Bank and one of its settlements.

In a statement, Secretary-General Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al Issa denounced the occupation authorities’ persistent policy of blatant contempt for international legitimacy, their flagrant violations of international law, and their deliberate undermining of all efforts aimed at achieving peace.

He reaffirmed the legitimacy of the Palestinian cause and the historical and legal right of the Palestinian people to their land, urging the international community to uphold its legal and moral duty to support Palestinian self-determination and statehood. (QNA)
