Doha, October 19 (QNA) - The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has announced the launch of 20 new digital services on its official website, as part of its 2024–2030 strategy aimed at achieving excellence in innovative, user-focused government services through 100% digital transformation.

The initiative aligns with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.

In a statement issued today, the Ministry said users can now access the new services via its e-services portal using the National Authentication System (NAS), ensuring high standards of data security and confidentiality.

The new services are designed to simplify procedures, accelerate transaction processing, and enhance the user experience, ultimately boosting the efficiency of services provided to both consumers and investors while strengthening institutional excellence in public service delivery.

The digital services cover a broad range of the Ministry's activities, including specialized licensing, market monitoring of goods and services, and a price evaluation and monitoring system for commercial establishments. They also include services related to competition protection, consumer rights, and combating commercial fraud—such as defected product recalls, complaint tracking, and the ability to file complaints and monitor inspection outcomes electronically.

In addition, the new offerings include a direct link to the General Authority of Customs to streamline post-clearance product registration, and an online platform for reviewing companies and services, as well as tracking application status step-by-step.

The services cater to a wide range of users, including companies whose products are subject to recall, citizens and residents wishing to report violations of consumer protection laws, and business owners required to register goods and services.

The Ministry emphasized that the launch marks a significant milestone in its digital transformation journey. It is expected to improve service quality, reduce processing times, simplify administrative procedures, and enhance the business environment—boosting Qatar's competitiveness both regionally and globally.
