Egypt's Pyramids FC Wins African Super Cup for the First Time
Cairo, October 19 (QNA) - Egypt's Pyramids FC was crowned champion of the African Super Cup in football for the first time in the club's history, following a 1-0 victory over visiting RS Berkane of Morocco on Saturday at the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo.
Congolese striker Fiston Mayele scored the match's only goal in the 75th minute.
Pyramids FC became the third Egyptian club to win the African Super Cup title, following Zamalek in 1994 and Al Ahly in 2002. This raises the total number of Egyptian football titles in the competition to 14. Al Ahly holds the record with eight titles, and Zamalek is second with five.
This marks Pyramids FC's fourth major title in its history, following the Egypt Cup (2023–2024 season), the CAF Champions League (2024–2025), and the Afro-Asian-Pacific Club Championship in 2025. (QNA)
