Doha, October 13 (QNA) - The Qatar Society of Engineers (QSE) will organize the Qatar International Facility Management Conference and Exhibition (QIFMCE) 2025 from Oct. 19 to 21 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).
The event is a global platform merging national vision with international expertise, featuring over 40 speakers and experts from 11 countries to deliver the latest scientific and applied insights in facility management, renewable energy, digital transformation, and environmental sustainability, in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV 2030).
The conference will kick off with an opening session on QNV 2030 and its integration with facility management, convening a wide swath of national and real estate entrepreneurs.
Both events are organized with the support of strategic partners and major sponsors from national and international institutions, reflecting the close collaboration between the public and private sectors in driving innovation and sustainability.
Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Vice President of QSE and chair of the conference, Eng. Ahmed Khaled Al Sumaiti, said the conference represents a specialization in facility management, aiming to address key issues, challenges, and technologies faced by service providers and building owners, and to explore how facilities can be operated, managed, and sustained efficiently in both the public and private sectors.
Over 60 companies will participate in the event, and the papers discussed and presented by local and international experts will be directly linked to challenges, solutions, and successes in facility management across infrastructure and buildings, Al Sumaiti highlighted.
Several QSE officials and participants outlined during today’s press briefing the main themes and objectives of the conference and its accompanying exhibition and events, emphasizing their critical role in supporting the facility management sector and in promoting the adoption of innovative solutions in renewable energy and sustainable technologies.
During the press conference, Al Sumaiti, alongside Vice President of the Conference and Secretary-General of QSE, Eng. Saud Abdullah Al Dulaimi, and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Eng. Ammar Anabtawi, provided a comprehensive overview of the conference objectives, scientific program, and strategic significance, positioning it as a platform that fuses engineering innovation, global expertise, and practical applications with smart facility management and sustainable energy.
They highlighted that QIFMCE 2025, alongside the LED Power and Renewable Energy Expo, represents a strategic pivot toward the future, where minds converge to innovate solutions and shape the blueprint for sustainable urban and technological development in Qatar and the region.
The speakers detailed the ongoing preparations and arrangements for the conference, the first of its kind specializing in facility management, describing it as an opportunity to exchange expertise and proposals among experts, service providers, operators, and building owners across all sectors of facility management, including healthcare, education, residential, and more, while emphasizing the critical role of strategic partners.
They noted that the conference papers will also address the future vision for facility management and industry challenges, raising awareness on key issues, including renewable energy, and the importance of reaching collaborative solutions to upcoming sectoral challenges.
They also addressed the superb exhibition accompanying the conference, held across more than 6,000 square meters at DECC, showcasing the latest solutions and technologies in facility management, renewable energy, and LED innovations, with extensive participation from leading local and regional companies and institutions, positioning the event as a pioneering economic and scientific platform that merges technology, innovation, and sustainability.
The conference program includes over 29 scientific and research papers covering advanced topics such as digital transformation in facility management, artificial intelligence applications, green energy planning, and linking building performance to human experience.
The participation of top-tier global experts underscores Qatar’s persistent engagement with state-of-the-art international practices and experiences.
Among the topics and papers to be discussed over the two-day conference are the strategic application of the facility management lifecycle, facility management companies and market challenges, technology and innovation in facility management, and the World Cup legacy in managing sports venues.
Additional sessions will cover artificial intelligence, emerging regulations, innovation, and cybersecurity in facility management.
