Qatar Volleyball Association Signs Agreement to Host 43rd Arab Club Championship in Doha

Doha, December 15 (QNA) - The Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) has signed an agreement with the Arab Volleyball Association (AVA) to host the 43rd Arab Club Championship, which will take place in Doha from Jan. 13 to 26, 2025.

The agreement was signed at the Qatar Volleyball Association's headquarters by QVA Secretary-General Youssef Kanoo and AVA Secretary-General Firas Jawad. This step reflects Qatar's ongoing commitment to enhancing Arab sports cooperation and organizing major tournaments.

The championship will be hosted by Qatar SC under the auspices of the Qatar Volleyball Association, with 17 teams from 10 Arab countries participating.

The participating countries include the United Arab Emirates (Al Jazira Club and Baniyas SC), Libya (Asswehly SC and Al-Hilal SC), Iraq (Erbil SC and North Refineries SC), Jordan (Shabab Al-Hussein SC and Shabab Al-Ordon SC), Bahrain (Dar Kulaib Club), Palestine (Gaza Sports Club), Egypt (Zamalek SC), Oman (Al-Seeb Club and Al-Salam SC), Kuwait (Kuwait SC and Burgan SC), and host nation Qatar (Qatar SC and Police SC).

The championship is expected to feature strong competition among the top Arab clubs, highlighting Qatar's organizational capabilities and its dedication to developing volleyball both regionally and internationally. (QNA)
