Doha, December 09 (QNA) - HE Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani met on Tuesday with HE Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States of America Kashyap Patel.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance joint security cooperation, exchange expertise, and support joint efforts to strengthen security and combat crime. The two sides also reviewed ongoing cooperation related to securing the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The meeting also witnessed the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between the Ministry of Interior and Lekhwiya and the FBI.

The MoUs were signed by HE Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani on behalf of the Qatari side, and by HE Director of the FBI Kashyap Patel on behalf of the US side.

The MoUs aim to advance mechanisms of security cooperation and coordinate efforts in training, the exchange of information, and capacity-building, in support of the shared interests of both countries. (QNA)
