Ministry of Endowments Organizes "Knowledge Integration" Symposium
Doha, September 09 (QNA) - The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, through its Department of Research and Islamic Studies, organized the "Knowledge Integration" symposium in coordination with Qatar University's Ibn Khaldoun Center, with HE Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanem in attendance.
Director of Research and Islamic Studies Sheikh Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Thani stated that the symposium, themed "Knowledge Integration as the Basis of Islamic Renaissance", focuses on blending legal, human, and social sciences to foster a renewed civilizational awareness.
Meanwhile, Director of Ibn Khaldoun Center Prof. Dr. Badrane Benlahcene emphasized that contemporary challenges demand multi-disciplinary scientific approaches that go beyond isolated specializations.
The symposium explored civilizational awareness between authenticity and modernity, and the use of knowledge integration to foresee the future.
It featured academic papers by Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Zain on integration models in the Islamic experience, and Dr. Abdullah Essam Al Obaid on examining the principles of Islamic jurisprudence and that of history to drive a new reading of current events. (QNA)
