Baghdad, March 07 (QNA) - Security Media Cell in Iraq announced Saturday that it had taken heightened security measures to enhance enforcement of the law and the protection of the nation’s sovereignty, emphasizing that the military posture in border regions and strategic sites has been strengthened to control security and prevent any breaches.

The enforced steps included reinforcing security and military deployment to the border areas and signature locations, with the objective of ramping up security control and preventing any potential movements or unlawful activities, said Head of the Security Media Cell, Maj. Gen. Saad Maan.

He further added that the measures included intensifying intelligence efforts through combined coordination with a variety of security and intelligence apparatuses to monitor any attempts to take advantage of Iraqi territories or carry out actions that imperil security and stability.

Maan elaborated that the security plans likewise included effectuating joint action among formations of armed forces and all security agencies within the Joint Operations Command to ensure a swift response to any security breach. (QNA)
