Meta Unveils New AI Agent for Large Codebases
Washington, August 06 (QNA) - Meta has unveiled Muse Code, a new AI agent aimed at programmers, designed to help perform complex software engineering tasks within large codebases, in the latest move to boost the company's competitiveness in the race for AI-based programming tools.
The company’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, announced via a post on social media that Muse Code is now available in beta, explaining that it is capable of performing “complete software engineering tasks across large repos,” from planning modifications and writing code to validating the results.
According to a report published by TechCrunch, the new agent is based on the Muse Spark programming model previously launched by Meta, and can be installed via a single command on the command line, adding that it is distinguished by its ability to manage large projects by creating sub-agents that work in parallel to accomplish different parts of the task at the same time.
