Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Bahrain Discuss Regional Escalation
Cairo, March 6 (QNA) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed the rapidly escalating situation and the dangerous military escalation in the region in a phone call today with his Bahraini counterpart, Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated in a press release that the call addressed the repercussions of the recent attacks targeting Bahrain and several other Gulf and Arab states. Abdelatty affirmed Egypt's full solidarity with Bahrain and its Gulf neighbors in confronting the consequences of these attacks, emphasizing that Gulf and Arab national security is an integral and fundamental pillar of Egyptian national security.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister reiterated his country's condemnation of these attacks and its categorical rejection of any pretexts or justifications for violating the sovereignty of brotherly nations or compromising their security and the well-being of their people.
He warned of the grave consequences of the continued military escalation and stressed the urgent need for an immediate cessation of all military operations to prevent the security situation from spiraling out of control and to spare the region from uncontrollable repercussions. (QNA)
