Doha, September 5 (QNA) - Qatar Padel Federation has announced that Doha will host the Gulf Padel Championship from September 15 to 19 at the Padel In courts, with the participation of all Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The Federation said in a statement Friday that the technical meeting and the tournament draw will be held on Sept.14, noting that the competitions will be in three main categories: men's, women's, and juniors.

Secretary-General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation Tariq Zainal confirmed in a statement that the tournament will witness strong competition, reflecting the significant development of Padel in the region. He welcomed all participating delegations and players.

He pointed out that such GCC encounters are not confined to victories and defeats, but extend beyond them to foster stronger bonds of brotherhood and rapprochement between the GCC countries.

Zainal expressed his hope that the Qatari Padel team would achieve outstanding results, wishing that this participation would be a new step towards highlighting the development of the game in Qatar. (QNA)
