Palestinian Martyred, Six Injured in Gaza
Gaza Strip, September 04 (QNA) - One Palestinian was martyred today and others, including children, were injured as a result of Israeli occupation forces' shelling and gunfire in various areas of the Gaza Strip.
Medical sources reported that a Palestinian was martyred after being shot by the Israeli occupation army in the town of Al Qarara, north of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Three Palestinians, including a girl, were injured by Israeli occupation army gunfire near Hamad City, north of Khan Younis, while another girl was injured near Abu Hamid Roundabout. Israeli military vehicles also opened indiscriminate fire, hitting tents sheltering displaced people near the Austrian Cemetery west of the city, while military vehicles opened heavy fire and artillery shelled areas east of the city.
In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire north of Al-Bureij refugee camp.
In Gaza City, an Israeli warplane carried out an airstrike targeting Mushtaha Street in the Shujaiya neighborhood east of the city, while eastern areas of the city came under artillery shelling and Israeli warships opened fire toward the city's coastline.
Israeli occupation military vehicles and drones also opened fire toward homes in the Tuffah neighborhood northeast of the city. In contrast, tanks fired heavily around the Al-Sanafour area east of the city, coinciding with gunfire from a helicopter in the area.
An Israeli drone opened fire in the Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City, while another drone opened fire east of the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood in the north of the city.
The death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 73,470 martyrs and 174,540 wounded.
The Israeli occupation army continues its airstrikes and aerial and artillery bombardment of the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli entity, which entered into force on October 10, following the withdrawal of the occupation army from positions and populated areas in the Strip and the beginning of the return of displaced people to northern Gaza. This came as part of the first phase of US President Donald Trump's initiative to end the war on Gaza. (QNA)
