Samsung Tops Automotive Memory Chips Market
Seoul, May 31 (QNA) - Samsung Electronics topped the global automotive memory chip market last year, becoming the world’s leading supplier of chips and surpassing US chipmaker Micron.
According to a report released by S&P Global Mobility, Samsung’s share of the global automotive memory chip market rose to 40% last year, up from 35% in 2024. During the same period, Micron’s market share declined from 40% to 36%, placing it in second position.
Market analysts noted that Samsung Electronics benefited from growing demand for advanced memory chips as autonomous driving systems become more widespread and in-vehicle infotainment systems continue to evolve rapidly across various vehicle segments.
