Oil Prices Rise in Early Trading
Singapore, October 30 (QNA) - Oil prices rose in early Asian trading on Friday, driven by heightened market concerns over global supply shortages.
The crude benchmarks are on track to record their fourth consecutive monthly gain, marking the longest sustained rally since last July.
Brent crude futures climbed 86 cents, or 0.75 percent, to trade at USD 115.74 per barrel.
Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures increased by 72 cents, or 0.71 percent, reaching USD 102.72 per barrel.
On a monthly basis, Brent crude is heading toward a gain of nearly 14 percent, while US WTI crude is set to record 15 percent monthly increase, with both global benchmarks poised to close the month above USD 100 per barrel for the first time since last April. (QNA)
